kite season is among us...

well, kind of.

the other day, rox and i attempted to fly our kites with just a tad bit of wind. it didn't work out too well. i got mine up, but then found it dive-bombing a house only to get stuck on the neighbors roof. rox got her kite up a few times, but the wind just wasn't there. hmmm... until next time.

that's what i did today by accepting this amazing bottle of Leninade from one of my students!

i have this kid in my junior english honors class that is totally into communism and the works. i think it's just a stage he's going through, but i'm sure he would differ with me on that. anywho, he gave me and my master teacher/good friend, mike a bottle. we got a good laugh out of it.

LA broke my card!

earlier this week, my roommate, james and i took a little trip to LA to ride the city. we rode down to the SB train station (which the movie changeling was filmed at) and hopped on the train to union. when we got there it started to drizzle a bit, which was great because it made for some amazing skidding. we grabbed a burrito at some hole in the wall mexican joint, ate up, than began our journey through the streets of LA. we went to chinatown, little tokyo, skidrow, DT, etc. here are a few shots i snagged while there. oh yeah, apparently my card shorted out too, thus explains the fun, waked-out photos. this is one of my biggest fears as a photographer. thank god this wasn't a paid gig.

free healthcare...

i found you!...kind of.

all you need to do is be enrolled in school. i've been sick for quite sometime now and have been getting a little nervous do to the fact that i don't have health insurance. so, i went down to the universities health office, told them how i was feeling and they had a doctor take a look at me. i ended-up getting free meds and now im all better! well, not yet, but i'm sure i will be better soon.
