Seal Beach

The other day while in the calm of the storm I made an effort to go to Seal Beach to take some photos. I rode my bike there about a week back and knew that i had to go back soon to get some shots. So, a week later with nothing to do, I hoped in my car and drove out. It was so wonderful to just get out and take photos willing without any deadlines or time periods. I took my time and enjoyed every bit of it. I wish I could make myself get out more often and do things like this. Here are a few shots from the day, hope you enjoy.
ps. I might post a few more later on if i decided to edit some more.

Paperplanes!!!

Tonight I had the privilege of shooting the Long Beach based band, Paperplanes. I had a good time taking them around to a few of my favorite spots (just a hop, skip, and a jump away from my place) in LB to take some photos for next weeks issue of The District. Thanks guys for finding the time to make this happen.

Long Beach Graffiti

It’s always interesting and actually kind of reassuring to run into graffiti that isn’t affiliated with a gang of some sort (the type of graffiti that is used to vandalized public and private property). Today while doing a shoot for The District, I had a brief period of time to grab a few shots of some amazing graffiti work. The people who do these amazing pieces are amazingly talented (in my eyes) and considered true artists. Here are a few pieces that stuck out to me this afternoon. Enjoy.

Oak Glen

I honestly couldn't have had a better new years day! On Jan 1st after an incredibly late night, Rox and I went for a wonderfully relaxing walk at Oak Glen. The leaves on the trees took on some of the most amazing colors, the sky was filled smooth clouds, the wind gently blew through the fallen leaves, and I had the most beautiful woman ever by my side. It was honestly one of the most enjoyable moments. Here are some photos from our walk, enjoy.
