mmm... food

From breakfast to dinner minus lunch. Two meals that made my day. I love food :) For breakfast I went to this little French café and had a cheese omelet, fruit, and a French roll. I honestly can't remember if I had lunch. And for dinner and had an Italian cheese pizza and salad. And for dessert I think I'm going to make a strawberry, raspberry, yogurt, and milk smoothy thingy. Ahhh, I love food.

So I thought I would share with you guys (the few of you who actually look at my blog) where I spend a portion of my free time. Well... this is it. If you live in LB I'm sure you know where this is, right off of 2nd st. and if you don't live in LB it's right off of 2nd st. I spend my time here usually reading, drinking tea, and thinking. I have had some of my most memorable memories take place here; more so thoughts/prayer and what not.

This weeks goal: Find your comfort spot.

Kim & Marco

So today was quite the eventful day. It started out with myself in the shower realizing I parked in a street sweeping zone the night before, which inquirers me receiving a $40 ticket. But no! it doesn't stop there. While talking on the phone to a friend and her telling me she accidentally backed into a car a few minuets back, I just so happen to be walking past my car and realized someone had backed into me, oh geeze my luck! haha. The day went on, no worries, thats life. Later I had plans to meet-up with my friends Kim & Marco for a little shoot I wanted to do of them. While out and about, I noticed the most recent issue of The District was sitting out on a rack on 2nd st. I thought to myself "its out already". I asked my friends to wait a sec so i could check it out. I flipped to the "calendar" section and sure enough it was there! Zack Piánko: Featured Artist, ha so stinkin' cool. That pretty much made my day. We carried on with the shoot, which went awesome! I got home, made food and started editing. This is the out come of my day. Hope you all enjoy.

Heidi Knechtel

Tonight I had the wonderful privilege of helping out one of my dear friends and neighbor with one of her new pieces. Living next door to an artist is awesome enough as is, but living next door to one of the most incredible artists I have ever known, Heidi Knechtel is even better. Currently, Heidi is working on a series of instillation pieces that pretty much looks like a 17th century religious tripdic and an insane array of blissful colours. I cant even begin to explain the exactness of everything, but I promise you its far from anything average. Anywho... below are some shots I took of her working on this new piece in her studio. Enjoy!

Brick Walls, Big Smiles and a Bizarre "Secret Shopper"

This morning was quite the enjoyable morning if I do say so myself. It started out with a morning shower, and a text message reading "Good morning!, be there at 10-10:30ish" or something like that :) I got dressed, pet the dogs goodbye and headed out to my car. During my drive to Riverside I couldn't help but to put on Rilo Kiley. For some strange reason, I have been on this weird fix with her. But, anywho... it was nice. I arrived in downtown Riverside to find that there was some type of open market going on down there. I spotted my dear friend, Roxi, said "hello" or something along those lines, chatted, then headed out to shoot. Below you will find the "her and I" section of our escapade. I will post other shots soon. Take care and enjoy!

PS. Chris, your legs are amazing. Don't let Roxi's comment get you down. Haha!
